Scholarships

At the heart of our mission is a deep belief: yoga should be accessible to everyone. Our scholarship program was created to break down the financial barriers and open the door for aspiring yoga teachers, healers, or seekers from all walks of life–especially those who are passionate about trauma-informed, inclusive, and community-based healing. We know the journey to becoming a yoga teacher can be transformative–but also financially out of reach for many. Through full and partial scholarships, we aim to support individuals who embody compassion, resilience, and a desire to give back through the practice of yoga.

Who is this for?

This scholarship is available to individuals who identify with one or more of the following lived experiences or communities:

  • Individuals experiencing financial hardship or economic limitations
  • Single parents or primary caregivers; those balancing multiple jobs, caregiving responsibilities, or limited resources
  • Marginalized and underrepresented communities, including but not limited to BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, individuals impacted by systemic inequities or discrimination
  • Aspiring yoga teachers committed to serving their communities
  • Individuals already engaged in community care, healing, or advocacy
  • Active members of the recovery community (including but not limited to substance use recovery)
  • Military veterans
  • Those living with mental health challenges
  • Those who have experienced trauma, grief, loss, or significant life adversity
  • Individuals with visible or invisible disabilities
  • Neurodivergent individuals
  • Those navigating chronic illness, injury, or accessibility barriers

We believe yoga is not a luxury — it is a tool for healing, empowerment, and community care. This scholarship fund reflects our commitment to accessibility, equity, trauma-informed education, liberation through movement, and community healing.

Receiving a scholarship does not mean you are less capable, less worthy, or less prepared. It means you are supported.

How are recipients selected?

Scholarship recipients are selected through a holistic and values-based review process. Applications are reviewed with care, confidentiality, and respect for each applicant’s lived experience. Selection is not based on perfection, prior yoga experience, social media presence, or the ability to tell a compelling hardship story.

Instead, we consider the following:

  • Financial need and economic limitations, including life circumstances that may make traditional tuition inaccessible
  • Alignment with Radiant Soul Values like trauma-informed practice, integrity, community care, and accessibility
  • Commitment to personal growth and completion of the training
  • Desire to serve others through yoga, especially within underserved recovery, veteran, disability, or marginalized communities
  • Lived experience and perspective, which may include adversity, recovery, disability, mental health challenges, caregiving roles, or systemic barriers

Important Notes:

  • Applicants are not ranked or compared against one another
  • Not being selected does not reflect lack of work, readiness, or belonging
  • Availability of scholarships depends on current funding
  • Some applicants may be invited to future opportunities or alternative support options

Scholarships are offered as an act of shared responsibility and mutual trust. Selection is guided by the intention to support those who are most likely to benefit from access, protect the sustainability of the program, and foster a cohort rooted in care, accountability, and community.

We launched our store with a mission: to make trauma-informed yoga teacher training more accessible to those who might not otherwise have the means. Every item in the shop carries the heart of this mission—whether it’s a cozy tee or a mindful tote, each purchase directly supports scholarship funding. It’s a way for the community to wear their values and contribute to creating more healing spaces led by diverse, compassionate teachers.

It’s more than merchandise—it’s a movement toward equity, empowerment, and collective care.

How are scholarships funded?

Merchandise

Thanks to our generous supporters—and our Bonfire store, where each shirt purchase helps fund this mission—we’re able to offer scholarships that make yoga teacher training a reality. Whether you’re rocking a tee that says “Just Breathe” or one that honors the heart chakra, you’re not just wearing a beautiful design—you’re helping someone step into their calling.

Pay-It Forward Tuition Option

Students and community members who can contribute beyond standard tuition help fund scholarships for others. Any additional proceeds are reinvested directly into the scholarship fund.

Donation-Based Classes

At times, we offer special pop-up classes with no minimum payment requirement. Contributions from those who feel called to give are fully allocated to the scholarship fun.

Together, these offerings create a shared ecosystem of support, allowing those who are able to give to help open doors for those who need access — without shame, pressure, or hierarchy.
